The New York Knicks have clinched a return to the NBA Finals with one of the most dominant performances and playoff runs in history. The New York Knicks clinch a finals appearance with the 10th biggest blowout in a conference finals game ever. If we only include games that clinched a Finals appearance, it is the 2nd-largest blowout win ever, only trailing the 1985 Lakers and their 44-point victory against the Nuggets. This win also gives New York 11-straight playoff wins. They become just the 5th team ever to have a playoff winning streak of 11 games or more. The other teams to achieve this are the 2017 Warriors, 2001 Lakers, 1999 Spurs and 1989 Lakers. Out of those 4, only the 89 Lakers didn’t win the championship. In an Eastern Conference everyone knew was wide open, New York had busted through the doorway.
