    Let The Stars Shine

    Let The Stars Shine

During day six of the 2026 FIFA World Cup we saw three matches played. France-Senegal, Norway-Iraq, and Argentina-Algeria. Those teams have some of the best players in the world on their teams, Mbappe, Haaland, and Messi. Three of the biggest stars in the game. And Lord they did not disappoint. All players scored two goals . With those two goals Messi is tied for second for the most goals scored in the World Cup ever. As I'm writing this Messi just scored another goal. He is the goat everyone, no question about it. He is now tied for the most goals ever in World Cup play. He just got he first ever hat trick in the world cup play.

    No Neymar No Problem?

After Neymar was selected to the Brazilian national team the immediate question was when can he play? Now two games into the tournament Brazil tied Morocco and beat Haiti without Neymar. As we know Neymar is not the player he was 12 years ago in the 2014 World Cup. He can’t move like he used to and he’s had a rough couple years. The question is the Brazil team has been playing pretty decent without him, does Brazil need to add Neymar at all? Is it worth possible throwing off the chemistry that these players have built the past couple months? We cant answer those questions but we can maybe answer the question of when he returns. From what Ive read I think he could potentially return against Scotland in their last match of the group stage. He will mostly come off the bench in that game if he is fit to play. One things certain about Neymar, he will give it his all. After tearing his ACL he said that the recovery was the hardest thing he’s ever had to do and he seriously considered retiring. But he wanted to be back out there with his teammates fighting. He only played 8 matches with Santos FC but he scored 4 goals and had 2 assists with a match average of 7.5. Also, he’s not that old he’s 34. He could definitely make a mark and continue to add to his legacy of great Brazilian footballers. Only time will tell if Neymar can show up and deliver.

    United States

    United We Advance

With Paraguay’s victory over Turkey, the United States officially finish on top of Group D and punch their ticket to the knockout stage just 9 days in. The Americans opened the tournament with back-to-back victories, matching a feat not accomplished by a U.S. men's national team in 96 years. The last time it happened was the 1930 World Cup in Uruguay, where the United States defeated Belgium and Paraguay en route to a third-place finish. The energy and momentum surrounding this team is starting to feel like something special is brewing on home soil. To be continued....

    Cold Turkey

Some impossible stats coming from Turkey in their two World Cup games in 2026 including, but certainly not limited to, the following: • SIXTY TWO (62!) shots • 102 touches in their opponents’ penalty box • 75% possession Zero goals scored. Eliminated before their third group game. In fact, the last time Turkey won a World Cup game was in 2002 when they came in 3rd place. I swear it felt like they had 40 shots on goal tonight against Paraguay I cannot believe they didn't score a single goal. A reminder at how tough it is break through on the world stage.
