Serena Williams Is Back

The tennis icon Serena Williams made her return to Wimbledon earlier today (June 30 2026). She faced off against the Australian Maya Joint in round one. She would end up losing the match 2-1 S Williams 3 7 3 M Joint 6 6 6 Williams is now 44 years old, her opponent Joint is 20 years old. That’s a 24 year age gap, the second biggest in Wimbledon history. Serena was obviously not her younger self, she kept hitting the net and miss placing her hits. You could see the frustration. But overall she seemed happy to be back and loved the competition. She is no doubt one of the best to ever do it.
