A Possible World Cup Repeat In The United States?

A Possible World Cup Repeat In The United States?

As we all know, Brazil has never missed a world cup. Literally never. Throughout all 22 world cups they have won 5 times making them the country with the most titles in the world. The longest drought without a world cup win is 24 years from 1970-1994. Here's the thing, the last time Brazil won the world cup was 24 years ago. That tied their longest drought, in 1994 the year when they broke their former 24 year drought guess who hosted that tournament? That's right, the Untied states. And this year, 24 year drought, in the US, being the 6th ranked team in the world and a pot 1 seed in ground C. They also have a stacked roster here's some names: Alisson Becker, Vinicuis Junior, Casemiro, Gabriel, Marquinhos, Gleison Bremer, Neymar, Irgor Thiago. That's only a couple players. They have some of the biggest players from some of the biggest clubs in football and with Carlo Ancelotti as their manager. Obviously it's going to be difficult to compete for a title when there's teams like Spain, France, Germany, Argentina, and of course the USA all fighting for the trophy. We will find out if destiny will repeat itself and have Brazil back on top of the soccer world starting June 11th.

    No Neymar No Problem?

After Neymar was selected to the Brazilian national team the immediate question was when can he play? Now two games into the tournament Brazil tied Morocco and beat Haiti without Neymar. As we know Neymar is not the player he was 12 years ago in the 2014 World Cup. He can’t move like he used to and he’s had a rough couple years. The question is the Brazil team has been playing pretty decent without him, does Brazil need to add Neymar at all? Is it worth possible throwing off the chemistry that these players have built the past couple months? We cant answer those questions but we can maybe answer the question of when he returns. From what Ive read I think he could potentially return against Scotland in their last match of the group stage. He will mostly come off the bench in that game if he is fit to play. One things certain about Neymar, he will give it his all. After tearing his ACL he said that the recovery was the hardest thing he’s ever had to do and he seriously considered retiring. But he wanted to be back out there with his teammates fighting. He only played 8 matches with Santos FC but he scored 4 goals and had 2 assists with a match average of 7.5. Also, he’s not that old he’s 34. He could definitely make a mark and continue to add to his legacy of great Brazilian footballers. Only time will tell if Neymar can show up and deliver.

Santana Gets Mets’ First No-Hitter: Today in Sports History

On June 1st, 2012, after 50 years and 8,019 games, Johan Santana threw the New York Mets first no-hitter in franchise history. Santana’s performance included 134 pitches, tied for the fifth-most recorded pitches in a solo no-hitter. He struck out eight batters and walked five. Coming off of shoulder surgery from the previous season, the 33-year-old may not have had his best stuff against the St. Louis Cardinals, but they kept biting early at Santana’s pitches. To this day, it remains the Mets’ only solo no-hitter.

    Christian Scott’s First Win!

Christian Scott recorded his first win today against the Marlins. Dating back to 2024, when he debuted for the Metropolitans, he’s started 16 games, compiling an 0-3 record, but that all changed tonight! Equally shocking, Scott is the only Mets pitcher to allow 4 ER or less in each of his first 16 starts. May tonight is the first of many wins for Christian Scott. LFGM!
