The playoffs are more restricted in MLB than you think. From 2012-/2020/-2021, the playoffs only included 10 teams. That's 33.3% of the league. In contrast, the playoff system the NFL used at the time included 12 teams, or 37.5%. The NBA actually had more than half of their teams in the playoffs, even before the play-in. However, there's one team that's always been there. In the Wildcard era (2012-present), here's how the playoffs appearances roll out. Maximum: 14. Braves: 9. Astros: 9. The Los Angeles Dodgers: THIRTEEN. I AM NOT JOKING. They have made it every year except one. And that year? TWENTY TWELVE. THEY HAVE MADE IT 13 STRAIGHT TIMES. And after this year, it will probably be 14. Mental. You might as well wake them up when September ends because they'll make the playoffs no matter what at this point. It's amazing how well Green Day has aged. NOW EVERYBODY DO THE PROPAGANDA! (of the salary cap not existing for the Dodgers)
