Part 1: The No Longer Weak East
Â
#1 Philadelphia 76ers
The Sixers roster is Loaded. Their roster includes: Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Jaylen Brown, Lebron James, Joel Embiid. They will have a great year. The only downside for them is that With this many stars on one team it gives younger players less space to develop. VJ Edgecombe has already proven himself as one of the stars of the league. But with this many good players. He won't have as much room to develop. Labanon Philon Jr. was one of the steals of the draft at 22nd. Philon Jr. Shined at Alabama. He won't have much room to develop either.
#2 New York Knicks
The Knicks Proved themselves with their championship last year. I suspect they will be even better this year. Although the loss of Mitchell Robinson will hurt. I think Andre Drummond will be a good Replacment. Jalen Brunson will be great.
#3 Boston Celtics.
Last year the Celtics had a great year before Jayson Tatum came back. With just Jaylen Brown they were great. Tatum is Arguably the better player. So why would they get worse. Yes they did get fleeced by Philly. But if they can win with just JB why not with just Tatum? The C's have a better roster surrounding Tatum than last year. I predict them to be not any bit worse than last year. The East is just better this year.
#4 Atlanta Hawks
The "Post Trae Era" Hawks are looking pretty good. And with the addition of Lu Dort. They'll be better. Jalen Johnson and Dyson Daniels will be great. CJ McCollum and NAW will be worse than last year. I think that the Hawks will have the Best Defense in the league.
#5 Miami Heat
People may have forgot but when healthy Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the most dominant players in the league. Bam is great on defense. They have bad shooting you say. Well lets look at some of their players 3 Point Percentage. Andrew Wiggins shot 41.4% from 3 last year. That's better than what Steph Curry shot last year (39.9%) Davion Mitchell almost shot 40% from 3 with 39.5%. Face it. They're good.
#6 Toronto Raptors
We all saw what Scottie Barnes could do in the playoffs last year. And if Kawhi ever gets to go to toronto. He'll be amazing too. RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley will be helping too. Ja'Kobe Walter will have a breakout season. No he won't be a star. He'll just be better than he used to be.
#7 Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavs didn't really get any better in the off-season. So I think that they'll get worse. Nobody will really play bad or play good. Its just the surrounding teams got stronger and the Cavs didn't adapt with the change. So they go down.
#8 Indiana Pacers
The Pacers are gonna be great again. Its all because of one man. Tyrese Haliburton. This man is so good. We saw how bad this Pacers team is without him. Hali Will carry the Pacers. Having Zubac and Siakam on his side won't hurt either. You won't be saying HaliBurger any more by the end of the regular season.
#9 Detroit Pistons
The Pistons will have the biggest falloff in the NBA and go all the way down to #8. The only reason is that Every year. Somebody has a season ending injury. This claim is supported by nothing besides my Gut feeling. Cade will have a season ending injury midway through the season. Very Very Very Hot Take. I don't think people really do the Predicting Injury's stuff so I did.
#10 Orlando Magic
The Magic squad on paper is really good team. The only thing that held them back. Injury problems. Last year the trio of Paulo Franz and Bane played only 11 games together. Paulo and Franz have only played 24 games together in their careers. I think that they will play more games than last year. But that number won't be much. They won't be that good in the regualer season. But they could push a good team to a Game 7 or Beat them.
#11 Chicago Bulls
This Bulls team's big 3 is great. Norman Powell is probably the First option on this team. Signing him was a great move. Josh Giddey has fallen to 3rd after being the #1 option last year. Caleb Wilson is the Number 2 Option. We know that players from UNC that get drafted to the Bulls are usually pretty good. Caleb Wilson has a incredibly high ceiling. He was probably the best player that we saw in the summer league. They'll Barely miss the Play In
#12 Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks have now entered the Post Giannis era. This team is really not bad. Tyler Herro is the Best player on this team. It doesn't sound that good when you say it. But he's a solid player. Myles Turner had one bad year and people turn on him. I think he will be pretty good. Kyle Kuzma will be mid. The rookie Nate Ament is one of the best. They'll also barely make the play in.
#13 Washington Wizards
We are entering No Playoff chances territory. This team has a Bunch of young players. And a bunch of Old Ones. I really like this Wizards starting lineup. It consists of: Trae Young, Keshawn George, AJ Dybansta, Anthony Davis, and Alex Sarr. That lineup alone is good. But having Deandre Ayton, Tre Johnson, and Khris Middleton makes it even better. I think that they barely miss the playoffs.
#14 Charlotte Hornets
The Hornets are somehow tanking. They didn't trade all their good players. They adapted to the new rules. They need to be bad. But not the worst in the league. Trading LaMelo was the way to do that. It sounds dumb. But its somehow smart. Kon will be great. He just can't do it all for Charlotte.
#15 Brooklyn Nets
Last and definitely least. The Brooklyn Nets. Their only bright spot is Mikel Brown Jr. And yet he can't suddenly make them a contending team. This really doesn't need a explanation.
