Part 2: The West (Couldn't think of a cool name for this one)
Â
#1 San Antonio Spurs
This team is Insane. They have the future of the NBA. Wemby. Then they have the other future of the league. Dylan Harper. Stephone Castle and Devin Vassell are great. Keldon Johnson was sixth man of the year. Oh and they have Fox. Haven't even mentioned Carter Bryant or Luke Kornet yet. I also think that after watching Tarris Reed play at UConn. He Can Take it Into the paint and dominate there. And I also saw some Joker like Passing moves from him too. My only concern for him is that he only shot 7 Threes in his college career. And this is now a three point shooting league. But they still have Wemby. THEY WEST IS NOW WEMBY'S
#2 Oklahoma City Thunder
I mean the thunder are still the thunder. They didn't get any better this summer. The loss of Lu Dort will hurt. A lot. But they still have SGA's Signature Foul Baiting
#3 Minnesota Timberwolves
The Wolves made a Big Move in the Offseason by trading for Lamelo Ball. Ant-Man and Melo might be one of the most explosive duos in the league. Donte Divincenzo is probably out for the season. The loss of Julius Randle and Naz Reid will hurt more.
#4 Los Angeles Lakers
These Next 3 Teams will all have very close records. But I suspect the Lakers come out on top. Obviously Luka Doncic is one of the best players to play the game and Austin Reaves is Great too. They signed a bunch of good players in the Offseason including: Walker Kessler, Quinton Grimes, and Collin Sexton. But I think that Cam Carr will be a Rookie of The Year candidate. He probably looked the best out of anyone at the NBA Combine.
#5 Denver Nuggets
A lot of people have forgotten how good this team is. Nikola Jokic is the best player in the NBA. Jamal Murray is a very good scorer. Aaron Gordan is good too. People are really sleeping on the Nuggets this year.
#6 Houston Rockets
I don't really have much to say for this rockets squad. Nothing has changed for them. Fred Vanvleet and Steven Adams are coming back from injury. But other than that really nothing.
#7 Golden State Warriors
The last few years the Dubs have been terrible without Steph Curry. He Carries them so hard its not even funny. But this year is gonna be different. This year Steph has Yaxel on his side. He was the summer league MVP. This team can win so many more games if Steph has someone else to pass the ball to. The Warriors did Nothing else in the Offseason. Not even a single move.
#8 Portland Trail Blazers
The Blazers Have 1 Problem this year. Which is also their brightest spot. Point Guards. They have 5 Great Players that can play guard. With 4 of them playing the Point. Ja Morant, Scoot Henderson, Jrue Holiday, Shaedon Sharpe, and Damian Lillard. I think that the start Ja at the 1 and Dame at the 2. They have Scoot back up Ja and Holiday back up Dame. I think that they switch Sharpe switch to Foward. They also have Deni who's bound to be good again. I'm Excited to watch this team. I would like to rank them higher but the West is too good.
#9 Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz Tanked last year and we all know it. But this year I really like their starting lineup. It has: Keyonte George, Darryn Peterson, Ace Bailey, Lauri Markkanen, and Jaren Jackson Jr. The loss of Walker Kessler means that Triple J will have to switch from Power Foward to Center. Although the loss hurts it also opens up room for the young guard Ace Bailey to start. I think that Darryn Peterson can make a big impact on this team.
#10 Phoenix Suns
I don't really have anything to say about this sun squad. The just are gonna be mid. I guess I could say that Devin Booker changed his Jersey Number from 1 to 15 so he might get better?
#11 Dallas Mavericks
I'm really excited to watch this Coop and Kyrie Duo. I think that Kyrie is going to have his best season yet. He is the Main Guard on his team. Most Importantly we can see him at the Point which he couldn't do when Luka was in Dallas. I think they Barely miss the playoffs.
#12 Los Angeles Clippers
I don't know if I like this Clippers lineup. This is how a feel: Darius Garland (Good) Keaton Wagler (Good) Brandon Ingram (Good) Derrick Jones Jr (Mid) Brook Lopez (Bad) Thats the starting lineup. Its pretty good. What I don't like is the depth. Bradley Beal (Bad) Rui Hachimura (I love him but he really isn't that good: Mid) Bennedict Mathurin (Mid) than the rest is a bunch of randoms. I think I like them but I think I don't. I definitely like Keaton Wagler though.
#13 Memphis Grizzlies
These next 3 teams I think are not only the worst teams in the West but the worst teams in the league. The Grizzlies have Three Bright Spots. Cam Boozer Karim Lopez and Cedric Coward. Other than these 3 I think the Memphis roster is atrocious. They are Doomed if these 3 Get hurt. Nobody Else is on this team. Yes Zach Edey is tall. That's really it. I don't think they're doing ANYTHING. Its just the 3 youngsters.
#14 Sacramento Kings
I think that this team is fully reliant on Darius Acuff Jr. There is nobody else on this team. I think that he will be a 20 Point Scorer in his rookie year. If his defense were better I would put him higher. Sabonis is still a really good player. He had a few bad years and people start hating on him. I think that he will be good again this year.
#15 New Orleans Pelicans
At some points in life. It is easy to forget that Zion Williamson exists. I could see him getting traded in the near future. He actually played more than usual last year. I just don't think that he really did anything notable besides a few highlight dunks here and there. I am fully confident in putting the Pels at #15. I think Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen are great. But I still am putting them last.
After writing this Series I realized one thing. The NBA is really stacked this year. It was hard seeing some of the teams I really liked missing the playoffs. I think that every team at least has 1 or 2 Bright Spots. Thanks for Reading 💙
