Even with Thompson coming back and the Raptors shooting horribly from 3 in the first half; they kept their composure, executed well down the stretch and actually won. Another brilliant performance from Brandon Ingram played a huge role in this win. 34 points tonight and 70 in his last 2 games combined is fine work. However, I need to take it back to a Darko quote. When a reporter asked him who the Raptors could bring in to help the team, Darko said “Jakob Poeltl, I think he could really help this team” and Poeltl made Darko look like a prophet. 21 points and 18 rebounds against Jalen Duren is exactly what I want to see from Poeltl. It’s also worth noting the shooting got significantly better in the 2nd half. Going from 3/17 to 5/11 from 3 is excellent. Just an all-around great team effort and a deserved win that the Raptors need to carry into good form. Perhaps the humiliation against New Orleans woke them up.”
