Colombia was once again playing at home with pretty much all 80,500 fans in Azteca Stadium. The national anthem had me balling hearing my fellow Colombians screaming it out of the top to their lungs.
I’ll be honest, we didn’t play well & playing like this I’m not sure how far we will get this World Cup. The 3-1 score is a little misleading because Uzbekistan was incredibly close to their 2nd goal before we got our third. James is too slow and he slows the rest of the team down. Thankfully Uzbekistan had a lot of lapses defensively and we were able to capitalize off that.
Chucho Hernández gave us one of the most exciting goals I’ve seen in a while with getting fouled twice and fighting for the ball with his life before delivering a perfect center to Campaz for a goal. The dream to qualify first in this group is more than alive. VAMOS COLOMBIA!!
