@ChuckieHussy's rating of Ghana vs Uruguay

@ChuckieHussy rated the Ghana vs Uruguay game 9.7 out of 10 in FIFA on July 3, 2010. Final score: Ghana 1 – Uruguay 1. Quarterfinal. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

“Did not think we'd see this one on here! Some matches become legendary because of skill. Others because of drama. Ghana vs. Uruguay had both. With a World Cup semifinal berth on the line, Sulley Muntari stunned Uruguay with a long-range strike before halftime, only for Diego Forlán to answer with a trademark free kick. The match grew increasingly tense as extra time unfolded, culminating in one of the most unforgettable moments in football history. Suárez sacrificing himself with a red card to keep Uruguay alive. Asamoah Gyan stepped up with the hopes of an entire continent on his shoulders, but his penalty crashed off the crossbar. The shootout that followed delivered heartbreak and jubilation in equal measure, ending with Sebastián Abreu's audacious Panenka sending Uruguay through. For neutrals, it was ninety minutes of tension followed by thirty minutes of pure chaos. For Ghana, it remains one of football's cruelest near misses. ”
