“Some people would consider this a strange comment to make, but I’m very thankful that that young man caught that interception on the 1-yard line all those years ago. Why would somebody be thankful for that? As I’ve grown over the years, and especially since that moment, which was very emotional for little me, I’ve been through a lot, at the end of the day, I returned to these teams as a piece of me to get over what I’ve been through, through the week, through the day, through the years. And they had evolved as I did. It has brought me closer to everyone I know, I think taking these teams and being so opinionated all those years ago, even as a youngster, really drove me to what became the best days of my life. I used to get hated on every day, I used to get reminded of that 1-yard line always, and it was expected. I have no problem with it, but from the lowest point in my life to the highest, I’m glad I can say today, that they put those motherfuckers in their goddamn place. We are 12.”
