“Biggest bubble game of the day and it goes the Aztecs’ way. UNM rallied to take it down to the wire and we almost had an iconic finish. Inbounding with 2.1 left, the Lobos threw a high pass to halfcourt which went off the outstretched fingertips of a Lobo and into the grasp of SDSU as the clock ticked down. But, the momentum caused the player to step just out of bounds in the frontcourt with 0.6 left. That gave New Mexico a chance to shoot a 3 from the line for the win but it didn’t go down.”
