I thought the Cavs would win, I did not think it would be a blowout win. Jarrett Allen continues to be better than James Harden thought he was with another double-double alongside great defense. Speaking of Harden, he also had a good game with his own 20 points. Despite both teams being in the top 10 for points per game, this was a defensive slugfest and the Cavs won the battle. It looked like a close fight after the 1st half, but when you can only score 11 points in a quarter, it’s hard to beat anyone. Mitchell Robinson tried his best with over a quarter of New York’s rebounds, but no dice. This game could’ve easily been a 25-point blowout if the Cavs don’t coast in the final 5 minutes. The turnovers were plentiful for both teams, but only Cleveland could match it with points off those turnovers. Although I enjoy a defensive battle, it would be inaccurate to not call this game sloppy. Knicks just looked off and the Cavs weren’t much better. Still, a very deserved win for Cleveland.
