“The most anticipated game of the day and it did not disappoint… mostly. At first, it looked like Brazil was going to be even worse than even my most pessimistic predictions. They looked like hot trash in the first 25 minutes. Morocco was controlling this game, dictating pace and ensuring Brazil could get nothing going. To make matters worse for the Brazilians, Morocco scored first thanks to a gorgeous chip from Saibari. I was fully ready to call Brazil frauds ahead of schedule. But you just can’t count out their talent. Vinicius Junior went on a brilliant run, cut inside and blasted it past Bono to revive hope. From there, they controlled the game and looked really scary until half The first half was excellent football, the 2nd half was good, but held back by a lot of stoppages. Most of that was due to unfortunate injuries, but those combined with the “hydration breaks” really slowed the game down. In-between those stoppages there was still good football, just not as much as I’d like.”
