“THAT'S A GOOD WAY TO START THE PLAYOFFS! LAKERS BLAST PAST ROCKETS 108-97! Now, the news that K.D. would not be playing in this game, sudden and near gametime, shook up this game greatly. Seeing both the Lakers and the Rockets shorthanded did add a very.. for lack of a better word, "excuse-ready" environment in Staples Center. However, it seemed like the Lakers had better ballers in their pockets than the Rockets, as Bron (who had 8 ASTs in the 1st quarter), and friends had the Rockets far away. Nonetheless, nearing the half, Houston gained and slowly but surely closed the gap to only 2 points, thanks in part to the sloppy turnover play by L.A. Then, a hero came forth, a hero named LUKE KENNARD. 5-5 ON 3P (!!!), an absolute hero (especially compared to the pure garbage we traded him for), alongside the whole Lakers team finishing the game all in DOUBLE DIGIT points, dismantled the Rockets offense, befuddled the Rockets defense, and fought any signs of coming back as they won 107-98.”
