This was a grindy defensive battle with shades of Super Bowl 53 but this version was worse. At least 53 was close, this game was not except for like 5 minutes where we all thought the Pats had a chance until Maye threw his 1st interception. This was a blowout and a well-deserved victory for Seattle. The only offensive player that could get any sustained momentum was Kenneth Walker himself in Seahawks and Super Bowl lore with the 9th most rushing yards in a SB ever. The Dark Side were clearly the star outside of that and put themself into the greatest defenses of all time discussions. The Seahawks pass rush was clearly overwhelming the Pats’ O-line that just didn’t look ready and it had Maye frazzled all game, confirming the O-line benefitted the most from the easy schedule. For the Pats’ Christian Gonzalez was the obvious stand out. Shutting down JSN and making multiple massive plays. Too bad the rest of his team didn’t come to play like he did. Congrats Mike MacDonald, you deserve it.
