“Can’t rate it higher than an 8.0 because of that free throw fest at the end. I know it’s the best strategic decision, but it turns a close competitive game into a snooze fest. That aside, despite the painful loss, I’m just surprised we had a real chance to win this one. I need to give a massive shoutout to Darko’s defense. CMB (although brief), Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl did a masterful job shutting down Wemby… offensively. The Alien still did his thing defensively especially in the 4th quarter where he turned Poeltl into a complete non-factor under the hoop. Speaking of that 4th, once again, the Raptors’ poor shooting cropped up at the worst time. It allowed San Antonio to climb back into the game and eventually steal it under our collective noses. Very disappointing, but I’m looking at this like a half-full glass. In the 2nd game of a back-to-back, we put up a real fight against one of the best teams in the West and lost, in part, due to bad luck. I’m proud of their efforts.”
