“The 76ers complete the comeback with a relatively easy win. Big emphasis on relatively. Live by the 3, die by the 3. Even the greatest team ever (the 2017 Warriors), knew to take more 2s than 3s. The 2018 Rockets learned this lesson the hard way. Then the 2021 Jazz found out and now the 2026 Celtics have been forced to learn this lesson. From the very beginning, this game was in Philly’s hands. It took Philly nearly blowing the game themselves to make this game close down the stretch. Luckily for the 76ers, Maxey and Embiid showed up. They combined for 64 points. They along with VJ were the reasons why Boston could never build a lead of their own. Embiid definitely got his legacy game with his hustle at the end after getting his knee hyperextended (from what I could see). Maxey also hit some big shots when both sides were bricking shots with it being a 1-point game. The Celtics ironically complete their humiliation by confirming the prediction everyone had before the season started. ”
