@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Algeria vs Argentina

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Algeria vs Argentina game 7.7 out of 10 in FIFA on June 17, 2026. Final score: Algeria 0 – Argentina 3. Group J. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

Argentina had control of this game most of the way despite Algeria’s valiant resistance. However, there will be 1 man on everyone’s lips after this game. At the risk of sounding too complimentary, I have watched Messi for so long and he keeps finding new ways to surprise me. At the age of 38, turning 39 next Wednesday (June 24th), Messi scored a hat trick in a vintage performance. The first one was a powerful shot the keeper couldn’t stop, the next was him being in the right spot at the right time to pounce on a mistake and the third one was a perfectly placed shot. He is just phenomenal. It wasn’t just the goals. He was the engine for Argentina and galvanized the team to victory just as much with his passing as he did his goalscoring. Aside from him, the entire Argentinian team was so composed. Never panicking and always ready. They clearly learned from their mistakes back in 2022. With all that being said, this was still a blowout. Doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the greatness.
