I have a vivid memory of the field goal block because it was all SportsCenter played for pretty much that entire CFB season. It was a part of every single montage of top plays or sports highlights because of how shocking it was. I didn't fully comprehend the implausibility of a program like App State beating a preseason Natty contender in Michigan at THEIR place. This upset win helped them become the first FCS team to ever receive votes in the final Associated Press poll and is recognized as one of the biggest upsets in American Sports history. #AbsoluteCinema of the highest order.

My third favorite college football game of all time only behind Boise States win over Oklahoma in 2007 Fiesta Bowl and my all time favorite, Clemson’s win over Alabama in 2016 cause that was the first year I started actually watching college football
