Seven hundred million dollars (that's 700,000,000) to Juan Soto to see him ground into a double play in the final game of the saeson with a the playoffs begging to be made. David Stearns, in less than a calendar year, has gone from baseball wunderkind to one of the financial institutions of the 2008 financial crisis that Bears (Sterns) his same name. Steven Cohen with delusional positivity on X and in interviews with no substance behind it. I feel bad for absolutely no one on this franchise. What a wasted season. 20 games above .500 to missing the playoffs is so incredibly on brand you could not Fred Wilpon this ending any better. ”
