“a world cup final that is mostly remembered for zidane's headbutt and red card in extra time. such a weird game for him scoring the only french goal really early in the same and having the worst possible end to his career he could have asked for. some sort of fate for materazzi and zidane this game as both of them were involved in seemingly every important moment in this game. in the end, the italians were the better side at penalties and will always love watching a game with andrea pirlo playing for italy ”
