The most hyped game of the tournament and considering that, you have to say this was ultimately disappointing. That factors into this rating. That doesn’t mean there was no quality play, just not as much as we thought. If there ever was a game that proved the value of an elite midfield, this is the one. France’s attack was elite but they can’t crush teams when their midfielder can’t keep the ball nor help the squad transition from defence to attack. The days of N’golo Kante and Paul Pogba are long gone. Meanwhile Spain is feeling like 2010. They have an elite keeper with a great backline and a good attack, but all of that is lifted by an incredible midfield. Rodri and Fabian Ruiz masterfully shut down many of France’s rushes, but the man I think deserves the biggest shout is Dani Olmo. Despite his incredible 2024 Euros, he continues to get overlooked and he was phenomenal, creating most of Spain’s chances, including their 2nd goal that sealed the victory Edit: I was initially too harsh

I forgot to rate this game, but I like seeing France get eliminated because personally I don’t like them that much

Great game to watch. I may be a little bit biased, but Spain dominated from start to end. The France that had been dominating this WC didn't appear on stage. Mbappe was lost and frustrated, as well as Dembele or Olise. Meanwhile, Spain, with his methodical and analytical play, obligated France to play within their rules. And obviously, they lost. We will see what happens with Argentina in the final, but I think Spain could dominate them as well. For now, I will celebrate another sweet W
