The NBA is back and we get a potential Eastern Conference Finals preview in this one. The Pistons are not messing around. Cade was bodying KAT for gods sake, he wasn’t playing around. Neither was Jalen Brunson who came out hot. Both team threw some haymakers. It both looked and felt like a heavyweight fight in the first half. Sadly, the Knicks ran out of gas. Brunson filled his end of the bargain. An efficient 30 point outing while keeping the Pistons on their heels helped New York keep up. It matched Cade’s 40 point bomb, but it couldn’t match the collective efforts of the Pistons. Even with Sochan blocking Cade at the end of the 3rd, the Pistons were up 11 after 3 in part thanks to Cade’s 11 points in the 3rd and 33 through 3 quarters. Paul Reed continues to do a great job filling in for Duren and the rest of the team outside of Tobias Harris provides valuable shooting that helped Detroit run away with this one. Still, Cade is undeniable. 42, 13 and 8 is insanity. Holy cow.
