“Sparks' first game of their historic' 30th season ends in a loss, a wallop by the defending champion Aces. An admittable muddy start by both teams, even as the Aces controlled the first quarter, turned into the Sparks' favor with fervent defense and Ogwumbike's offensive power... bringing the Sparks to 1 point at the half. Then the Aces finally started to look like the Aces and widened the gap, in the blink of an eye may I add. Kelsey Plum had 27 PTS, the most of both teams, but the Sparks, as a team, lose by twenty-seven. We face off against the Fever, also on USA Network, on Wednesday.”
