“In the moment there was no way of knowing what would happen just a few weeks later. The breaking news on ESPN: A secret meeting over 4th of July weekend in the Hamptons with Steph, Draymond & KD after losing the 3-1 Finals have now joined forces. I was shocked in the moment but it was more of wonder and surprise than anything. Fast forward to Game 3 of the 2017 Finals and KD hitting the dagger from 28 ft in Cleveland and it was pure hate in my heart. I don’t think I’ve ever hated a team more. Game 1 of that Finals will forever haunt me with how JR Smith botched that offensive rebound. KD has never been at the level of LeBron/Kobe/Jordan because of the decisions he made as a direct results of the outcome of this game.”
