This game started with Queta dunking on Luka Doncic. Shockingly, that wasn’t the beginning of the end, but it eventually came to define this game. The Lakers managed to keep it close for a long while. Even while Peyton Prichard was absolutely ripping out Jarred Vanderbilt’s ankles in the 2nd quarter. Eventually, the Celtics made it a 10-point game after the first half. Ayton blocked a 3-pointer to start the 2nd half to make me think the Lakers were going to make this interesting. Then Marcus Smart and LeBron missed a couple jumpers and didn’t make one until Jaylen Brown made the first basket of the 2nd half which was over a minute in. I honestly think that sequence more than anything defines this game. The Lakers didn’t take advantage when the Celtics had off-moments and then the Celtics outpaced them when the Lakers actually started playing better. Brown and Pritchard both put up 30. Luka and LeBron put up 20 each. Not a big shock who won the day. Shoutout Ayton for disappointing ppl.
