The Grizzlies right the wrong of the Berlin game by taking the big 1st quarter lead and actually hanging onto it. Even better for Grizzlies fans and basketball fans in general, Ja Morant looked like himself. He made it easier to forget about his questionable off-court behaviour with his playmaking early on and then took over with some scoring. It was a good day for Ja, those have been rare recently so it was nice to see. Magic tried to save this game from getting out of hand. Black had another great game, but Banchero really struggled and their team as a whole. Grizzlies could’ve easily won this game by 30 an only didn’t because they took their foot off the Magic’s collective throat so they wouldn’t get pins and needles in their leg. Jaren Jackson Jr. played like he was trying to prove Rich Paul right on both ends and KCP was kind enough to remind me that he was actually a part of the Desmond Bane trade. Could’ve fooled me the last time these teams played.
