“Should’ve been a Colombia win, but an absurd application of a rule costs them. Still a good game, that gave a fair amount of entertainment value, but man I’m only going to think about that insane decision. The first half was electric. Both teams were guaranteed knockout football, but still had a group to play for and they lived up to those stakes with back-and-forth action. Although, Colombia was definitely the better team, Portugal was no slouch. Both teams got great chances, just couldn’t finish. The 2nd half would come in phases with Colombia domination shifting to Portugal control and then back to Colombian might. Then it got whacky. Colombia was coming inches away from a goal and Portugal was hanging on by a thread. Still, that wouldn’t be the craziest moment. At the 90th minute, it looked like Sanchez had given Colombia a last minute winner to slay Portugal, only for it to be called offside and VAR to later reveal that it was literally just a toe off. That’s a load of crap. ”
