Many Pistons-Hawks games have been awesome close affairs and this was not that. Instead, it was a terrific team win for the Pistons. What’s that Atlanta? You had 6 players score double digit points? That’s cute. The Pistons had 8 players score double digits players and 3 score 8. Nearly every Piston scored more than 5 points tonight. Not only did they score, but they shot efficiently too. Pistons nearly shot 60% overall and 41% from 3. They also had more steals than turnovers, half their points came in the paint and 30 came from the fast break. I cannot overstate how thoroughly the Pistons outclassed the Hawks, even as the Hawks kept it kinda close early on. Cade Cunningham really stood out as he makes a strong case for an All-NBA spot this season. While this game was aesthetically pleasing, the blowout-nature of this game had me waiting for it to end.
