@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Timberwolves vs Nuggets

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Timberwolves vs Nuggets game 7.9 out of 10 in NBA on April 18, 2026. Final score: Timberwolves 105 – Nuggets 116. R1. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

This was my pick for the best 1st round series. This has the potential to be an all-time slugfest and it showed that off in the very first game. The Timberwolves immediately reminded the Nuggets that they’re not afraid of the Nuggets. Anthony Edwards blocking Aaron Gordon is a great way to send that message. Going up on them early is an even better way, which is exactly what they did when they had an 11-point lead at halftime. Their defense was keeping both Jokic and Murray in check while their offense was in a groove. The Nuggets said “no you don’t” and went on a run of their own to grab a double digit lead in the 3rd quarter. From there, the Timberwolves became pests that Jokic kept having to swat away while Murray flailed his hands wildly trying to survive. Jokic showed the advantage of having the best player on the planet. The main downside of this game was the last couple minutes. It slowed to a crawl with fouls, ref discussions and late whistles. Really dragged the game down.
