“This one got dicey, but we regrouped and got an awesome feel-good moment. At first, this looked like a Nathan Eovaldi masterpiece. Yeah, the 3rd was unfortunate, but Eovaldi wasn’t giving up any hard contact and hitters were missing the ball much more often than they were hitting it. Combine that with Texas’s rallies and I felt good about this one. Then the 7th happened. It started out with an omen, catchers interference. I don’t like saying 1 moment changed the game, but it felt like that changed everything. The Angels started a rally on Eovaldi and kept it up when we took him out. Eventually they tied it up, much to my dismay. Thankfully, for the sake of my sanity, the bullpen figured their shit out and the batters set up Langford in the perfect situation. Bottom of the 9th, tied game, runner on 2nd. Despite struggling all day, he blasted a hit to left field for a walk off in his first game back from injury. The road to get there started fun, got tumultuous before giving me relief.”
