The Spurs are back on top of the Texas Triangle. Not quite complete domination, but not far off. Usually, Wemby is the reason why San Antonio has an easy night. The alien did shift the balance of power in his favour, he was not driving force tonight. Stephon Castle was the driving force tonight. You could’ve gotten that information just from watching the game, even if you took away the score. However, looking at the box score really puts it into perspective. 40-12-12. You wanna guess the last Spur to do that? Don’t bother, because he is the first Spur ever to put up a 40 point triple double and he did it with startling efficiency. He nearly missed as many free throws as he did regular shots. Just an incredible performance. You combine that mastery of the game with Wemby’s monstrous defensive impact and the supplemental scoring from Vassell and Fox and you get a team that is very tough to beat at their best. Cooper Flagg and the Mavericks learned that the hard way tonight.
