“Sometimes I wonder why I expect good things from this team. The Phillies are not World Series contenders. They may make the playoffs but they’re not good enough. But neither are the Marlins. The Marlins are far too inconsistent between the offense and the bullpen to be able to pull enough wins together. I’m thankful for our great starting pitchers (Sandy, Eury, Max Meyer) and the few bullpen guys who have been amazing and Griffin Conine. I don’t want to call it a season now but there are only 35 games remaining and the Marlins would need to win most of those games to deserve to make the playoffs. Not to mention they also face all playoff teams in September excluding the Royals and Mets. If they want to see October, they need to pull it together quick.”
