“If I ignore what happened in the last minute, incredible game. Looked like a blowout, but Nebraska clawed back into this game. When this game started 14-1 for Purdue, I was ready to call this a win for the Boilermakers. Those feelings only grew when Purdue led by 16 and the Cornhuskers only had 24 points after the first half. Still, little-by-little, Nebraska found a way back into it, just for Purdue to smack them in the face again. I thought the 8-0 run late in the 2nd half basically killed any chance of completing that miraculous comeback, but I’ll be damned, they found a way. By them, I mean Mast found a way an nearly won it himself in the dying seconds. I was so pumped up for OT and it lived up to that excitement, at first. Nebraska refused to quit ahen Purdue went up again and this game ended with a massive anti-climax. Instead of a dramatic ending where it all comes down to a shot, we instead got an awkward slippery ending. A Bummer for sure, still a great game.”
