2 very good game on back to back for this Wednesday. This one was looking like the Valks to give away before the game and they did and now are looking for anwsers quick to keep up in the playoff race.

The WNBA was cooking tonight. Two competitive and entertaining games with the winning teams overcoming double-digit deficits. The Valkyries looked good to start and built a 12-point lead, but Kalleah Copper and Alyssa Thomas would not be denied. Copper scored 27 points and Thomas did some of everything with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Golden State had six players in double-figures and really spread the ball around, but they also spread around the fouls. Zandalsini and Charles both fouled out and Burton and Thornton had five each. Golden State is definitely known for their defense but it was a little sloppy tonight and it cost them. They gave the Mercury 43 free throws and key players couldn’t finish the game. Give credit to the Mercury for finding a way to win.

Another great game tonight! Phoenix looked way better than I thought they would, and they gave the Valkyries a big run for their money! This was close for a while, but it looked like Golden State was going to run away with it at the end of the first half. They would have a big lead for the entire third quarter, and they would take that lead into the fourth. That’s what when the Mercury made their comeback! They were right back in this game with 6 minutes to go and they never went away! The Valkyries were within 1 point with 5 seconds left and they had a chance to tie or win, but the Mercury hold on for the win! A couple tough losses for Golden State in a row
