“Tunisia walked into this game, jumped in their own grave, laid down and closed their eyes as the Netherlands buried them. They poked their head out briefly, only for the Dutch to smack them with their shovel before continuing to bury them. They are now a cautionary tale of the curse that can come with having an easy qualification group. But I’m gonna be honest, I have a bit of beef with Netherlands. They nearly ruined a great stat and I would’ve been very mad if they had. Thankfully, they didn’t, but I do not appreciate them stressing me out for an admittedly stupid reason. It was a total disaster to start with a Tunisia own goal and then a 2nd Dutch goal. It looked like 2026 Tunisia was going to become a contender for worst World Cup team ever. But then, the Dutch took their foot off the gas and Renard telling his team the infamy they were entering so they scored. I skipped the last 20 minutes to revel in Marina Mabrey’s legendary 50-bomb against the Sparks and I have 0 regrets. ”
