“A very up and down day of World Cup action. Cape Verde against Spain was of course a big positive, even though it wasn't a great soccer game but just what Cape Verde did was incredible. I'm sure others enjoyed Belgium-Egypt and Saudi Arabia-Uruguay, but I didn't find them very enjoyable. This was a solid game here though, a goal that almost saw a handball from New Zealand but they were able to get the goal, then some chaos in the box that led to Iran's equalizer. Again in the 2nd half though, Elijah Just scored for New Zealand. An absolute banger to give New Zealand the lead back. But then later, maybe the most perfect cross into a header I've ever seen. I still don't know how the ball comes off these guys heads with so much power. It truly amazes me. The result kind of annoyed me though. We didn't see a single win/loss today. Hopefully some tomorrow.”
