Closer than the final score would tell you, but the Bulls could never close the gap completely. The NBA is back and the Raptors’ shooting problems never left. All-Star weekend was fun and great for Raptors representation, but it’s time to figure out this issue because no team with championship hopes should be missing as many open 3s as we do. Thankfully, the great defense is still there. The Raptors managed to win this one thanks to the efforts of BI3, Scottie Barnes, CMB and Ja’Kobe Walter. BI3 didn’t shoot particularly well, but hit the big buckets when we needed them. Scottie struggled mightily with his shot but found many other ways to contribute. Walter has become our most valuable role player not named Mamu. His shot is really finding itself and his defense helps our unit remain strong. CMB, while having clear limitations offensively, made a huge block on a late 3 to help us wrap it up. It wasn’t pretty, but we won, that’s what matters most. In spite of their sloppiness of course
