This was an amazing win for the Mercury, but it made the Kelsey Plum trade sting a bit worse. The Mercury would probably be the better team overall tonight. That didn’t stop the Sky from keeping it close all night though! There was only one small run near the end of the first half where Phoenix had any notable lead, but Chicago made sure that didn’t last! This game would come right down to the wire where Plum would hit a clutch go-ahead three, and Bonner would make a game saving block! I know the Sparks had to offload Plum, but it doesn’t really make it sting less

Had to sweat it there for a bit, but the Mercury came through. The Kelsey Plum trade was enough for me to pick Phoenix tonight and she did not disappoint with 20 points off the bench. Bonner made two great defensive plays at the end to lock up the win. She had a clean block and a steal. Copper had a great shooting night and scored 31 points. But the star of night was Alyssa Thomas with an impressive triple-double: 19 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists. She did a little bit of everything tonight. After that amazing win against the Aces, you might have thought that the Sky had turned a corner, but it didn’t seem that way tonight.
