MLB • Field of Dreams Game08/12/2021

One of the best MLB games I've ever watched and a perfect Throwback Thursday with the Field of Dreams game today and coincidentally Tim Anderson retiring a couple days ago. Tim Anderson will be remembered for 2 things. One, getting his shit rocked by Jose Ramirez. And two, walking off the Yankees in the first ever Field of Dreams game to win 9-8 in one of the wildest games in recent MLB history. Whenever the Yankees play one of these special games it's always got explosive offense. In 2019 in London, they beat the Red Sox 17-13 and 12-8. Of course I didn't enjoy that series because the Red Sox got swept by the Yankees, but if I was watching those games with my Sox not getting destroyed, it would've been awesome. Great to see the other Sox do their thing in this game, and Tim Anderson to create a defining positive moment in his career. And of course, DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA JANKEES LOSE

such a fun concept that the MLB absolutely nailed from the beginning. the whole presentation of this game was perfect to a degree where it honestly didn't even matter if the game was bad. fortunately, the game was awesome and we got a 6 run 9th inning ending on a walkoff for the white sox. i dream of a sandlot version of this one day but for now this is good enough.
