“The game of the tournament, no doubt. If we get something better than this, I cannot wait. The entire world watched this game with 1 thought constantly ringing in their collective heads. “Could this actually happen?” Cabo Verde was determined to prove the answer is a loud YES. At first, it looked like another Messi masterclass and thanks to a well-placed pass, it only took a perfect touch and finish for Messi to become the first player ever to score 20 World Cup goals. Yet, Argentina got complacent. A foolish move if you ask me considering what Cabo Verde did to Spain. Cabo Verde made them pay with a goal in the 2nd half. They weren’t just tied with Argentina on the scoreboard, they were keeping up on the pitch. When Argentina scored at the start of extra time, nobody would’ve blamed Verde for rolling over. Instead, Cabral gave us the goal of the tournament with a screamer, forcing Christian Romero to restore order and Argentina to hold on for dear life to win it. Absolutely incredible”
