In Utah’s history, they have seen 11 22-assist games. Isaiah Collier just had the 12th 22-assist game and has become the first Jazz player not named John Stockton to accomplish the feat. Collier’s 17 and 22 outing is also just the 8th of its kind. I guarantee you can guess who put up the other 7. This was a battle between 2 bottom-feeders that played out like an actual battle that winded down like 5 minutes before it was supposed to. The key difference is one of these teams have employed Danny Ainge. Ainge’s pressence ensures Utah can’t be the worst team. Jokes aside, the Pacers and Jazz kept this game mostly close. As I alluded to already, Collier was distributing the ball quite well and got plenty of run with Markanen and Sensabaugh who both scored 20, partially because Utah had like 7 available players. Jarace Walker and Quenton Jackson threw Utah off with their athleticism, but the rest of the team just couldn’t keep up, somehow. Turning over the ball a bunch certainly didn’t help.
