“Damn. This was the first time I was truly invested in a soccer team. And it looked so promising. That dominance against Paraguay. How much better the offense looked after Pulisic came on against Turkey. The suspension of Balogun’s red card. Seemed like all the pieces were coming together for a win over Belgium-even if it meant losing to Spain after. But then everything fell apart in this game. Pulisic didn’t do much. The defense looked terrible. McKennie played his worst game of the tournament. We had the hope from Tillman’s goal and it disappeared a minute later. On the bright side, the first 4 games of this team were so fun to watch, and man I excited for 2030.”
