“The Knights took their rightful claim in the state of Colorado and nobody had the ambition to stop them. I just think it’s wonderful, it’s like a rivalry almost, but it isn’t. I love that for us. The Avalanche suffer from what I like to call “deranged winner theory.” They won so much that they can’t handle loss, but they don’t want to try to win, and they feel like they can push their way through with aura. Spoiler alert: they can’t. Vegas needed a playoff spot, and we made sure we were getting it.”
