“I can’t think of a much better way to start an NBA season. Kevin Durant finally got to watch a banner be raised in OKC 18 years after the Sonics drafted him. The schedule makers had to know what they were doing with that. More importantly, BASKETBALL IS BACK. Even better, this season starts with a bang and a nail biter. We even got OT after SGA hit a clutch mid-range jumper to tie the game and send it to that OT. The first half was mainly the Rockets vs. Chet Holmgren, but the Rockets pulled away in the 3rd quarter, only for the Thunder to pull back in it in the 4th and send it to OT. The Rockets looked impressive as a unit with Sengun leading the charge, especially in OT. In the end tho, it looked like Shai would lead the Thunder through an ugly ending to victory, despite Sengun’s best efforts. Despite that ending, this was still an amazing way to start tip off the season, Sengun deserves all the flowers he’s going to get.”
