“This feels like a basketball Groundhog Day for me. The Raptors go into MSG, needing a win against the Knicks and they play like crap. I’d be more mad if I hadn’t seen it coming from a mile away. Doesn’t mean it’s not frustrating. Especially when the biggest problem comes down to the Raptors caving to pressure from the Knicks’ defense. This game looked kinda close in the 1st quarter. Sure, the Knicks had just a 1 point lead, but they had been outplaying Toronto up to that point and their lead was only 1 because of a Raptors hot streak to end the quarter. The 2nd quarter was much more indicative of how this game was going. The Raptors only scored 15 points in a quarter. Inexcusable. The crazy part is the Raptors didn’t look that bad again. They didn’t play well, but they managed to somewhat keep up. If they just didn’t have that horrendous quarter, maybe this game is closer. Or maybe it would’ve been just as bad. Who knows? God knows we couldn’t stop Brunson and KAT. What a bummer.”
