“The Egyptians take down Australia in penalties! Absolute heartbreaking defeat for the Australians. They gave Egypt a run for their money and came so close to taking them down in the fancy to the round of 16. Mohammad Salah showed his true Captain colors toughing the game out while playing through an injury playing 120 minutes and scoring a penalty. I do have to say this was a horrible coaching job from Australia. Beach had been great all day then you sub him out for Ryan who did not even touch the ball in pens. And they sent a freaking 18 year old CENTER BACK up there! He broke his heart hitting that bar. Australia sent defenders up to win an attackers game. It’s like bringing a sword to a gun fight. This sucks for Australia, I hate it for them. Hopefully they will be back in 2030. I picked Egypt and got it right. Still need a miracle to win this tournament. But we have all seen NC State in 1983. “Don’t give up, don’t ever give up””
