“First of all, the Refs need to figure out what is going on. Though the German goal was good in the first couple of minutes, how is that not a high kick? The attacker's cleat clearly makes contact with the defender. In any other league that would end the play immediately. But, this is not the only game this has happened in, England vs Senegal, a tackle that ended a goal-scoring opportunity. Clearly a pen, but it wasn't called. The defender didn't make any contact with the ball, only with the Attacker. What is going on? Anyways, this was a back-and-forth game that made for a good watch. Ecuador was able to upset the European Giants as they clinched their way towards the knockout round. Germany looked shaky throughout the game, and the way they play needs to be fixed if they want to 1. go far in the tournament and 2. win the whole thing.”
