Campos de Sport de El Sardinero is Racing Santander’s green-and-white home on the Bay of Biscay, a modern bowl in one of Spain’s classic football cities. Match nights feel northern and local—sea air, steep stands and a crowd that treats Primera returns as civic events. The ground replaced the old El Sardinero while keeping the neighborhood name that defines Racing. For Cantabria, this is the province’s football cathedral.
The current stadium opened in 1988 beside the site of Racing’s earlier El Sardinero grounds dating back to the club’s founding era. It has hosted Primera campaigns, cup ties and long Segunda rebuilds that kept Racing in the national conversation. Naming and upgrades stayed secondary to the Sardinero brand fans still use. As Segunda champions returning for 2026/27, Racing bring LaLiga back to Santander’s shoreline.
